In the Media: Mr. Junaid Qureshi (Director EFSAS) talking to BTVI about the Hurriyat Conference - Part 2
Mr. Junaid Qureshi (EFSAS) in his recent interview for the BTVI argued that dialogue is the only way towards resolving conflicts. Yet, he questioned whether open dialogue with the Hurriyat Conference will deliver any solution, considering the fact that the amalgam itself is culpable of inciting religious violence among the youth of Kashmir. Mr. Qureshi further exposed the duplicitous, pro-Pakistani agenda of the Hurriyat Conference, arguing that the government of India should stop providing them with space and thereof, legitimacy. Instead, the dialogue should be with the common people, who are suffering from the actions of these self-proclaimed leaders. The mainstream population is currently afraid about their safety and are reluctant to speak openly, thus any sustainable solution to the ongoing violent extremism should first and foremost, involve the people at grass-roots level.
