EFSAS comments on ex-PM Nawaz Sharif's return to Pakistan

The 2013 general elections in Pakistan were an aberration as they were the first instance in the country’s 66-year history of a democratically elected government handing over power to another. All the earlier elected governments, whose reigns were interspersed with coups and long spells of military rule, had been overthrown mid-tenure by the domineering military establishment.
