Ms. Yoana Barakova, Research Analyst EFSAS, welcomed the honourable speakers and distinguished guests on behalf of the European Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS) at the Royal Asiatic Society in London.
EFSAS organized a Panel Discussion, 'CPEC: Diplomatic debt-trap or economic game-changer for South Asia?’, on the 15th of December 2017 at the prestigious venue. A well-attended and successful event, in which reputable scholars affiliated with various academic institutions including Oxford University, Birmingham University and SOAS University of London, deliberated upon the legal, economic, environmental and geo-political impacts of the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The event was moderated by Dr. Sweta Raghavan, Managing Director of Scientists & Co.
