Prominent speakers at the event were, Francesca Galli, a Jean Monnet Fellow of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute and Associate scholar at the Faculty of Law of the University of Maastricht, Polly Pallister-Wilkins, assistant professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Amsterdam, Sónia Sousa Pereira, criminal-law lawyer and affiliated with the Data Protection Function of Europol and lastly Maciej Stepka Institute of European Studies, Jagiellonian University of Krakow, who moderated the event.

Isabela Fávero (EFSAS Research Analyst) with Francesca Galli, a Jean Monnet Fellow of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute and Associate scholar at the Faculty of Law of the University of Maastricht.

The event aimed to discuss how European agencies produce and present their expert knowledge and how they should use their field of operations and analyses to support and intervene on political issues. EFSAS made valuable comments illustrating the disturbing repercussions for the West, especially EU, because of growing extremism in South Asia, whereby extremists abuse humanitarian crises around the world, and the asylum- and migration laws of Europe.
