During the discussion, EFSAS emphasized on the necessity of bridging the gap between theory and practice - between academic work and policy making, since according to its mission, advancing the cause of peace and reconciliation through research and involvement with decision-makers at the local, national and international level provides an opportunity for a sustainable solution of violent conflicts. Mr. Serry further stated that an effective and positive settlement of the Jammu & Kashmir issue should include the engagement, in an open dialogue, of all parties concerned.

Mr. Serry expressed his willingness to collaborate on future events of EFSAS and share his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of conflict management and resolution.
