Dr. Krona firstly proposed that jihadi groups such as ISIS have increasingly used media platforms for the dissemination of their ideology - as such, their modus operandi has been adopted to the functioning of the media, resulting in the visualization of ideology and Islamic scripture. This, according to Dr. Krona, reshapes the functioning of jihadis as scripture is increasingly communicated through visual means rather than physical person-to-person exchanges.
