EFSAS comments on Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Pakistan

Raisi’s visit came amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East, and months after ties between Tehran and Islamabad became stressed due to Iran’s unexpected airstrikes against alleged militant hideouts in the restive Pakistani province of Balochistan in January. Pakistan swiftly retaliated by using drones and rockets to carry out strikes against what it called terrorist hideouts in Iran’s Sistan-Balochistan province, killing 9 people.
